Your role at Kittl

Kittl’s Editor is the core and heart of our product. As part of a collaborative team, you'll optimize 2D rendering for super smooth performance. You'll be a master at managing browser performance insights to identify and eliminate bottlenecks. You'll create an intuitive and user-friendly experience (UX) while simultaneously crafting clean, understandable code to tackle complex rendering challenges. To ensure high quality, you'll design and write comprehensive tests. Understanding our users' needs and potential pitfalls is key, as is navigating a complex system with intricate dependencies.

What you'll need

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional development experience with TypeScript & React

  • Domain Knowledge: Vector graphics and SVG manipulation, with experience in rendering and displaying SVGs. Proficiency in Canvas 2D is a plus

  • Modern web development tools: Proficiency in linting libraries such as ESLint and testing libraries like Jest

  • Application state management: Expertise in complex state management

  • CI/CD: Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery processes

  • Static Hosting: Experience with static hosting approaches, platforms and caveats

  • Bonus: Experience with backend development and familiarity with databases

Interview process

  • Recruiter interview (30 minutes)

  • Technical take-home assignment

  • Technical interview (60 minutes)

  • Leadership interviews with Director of Engineering & CTO (30 minutes each)

  • Bar raiser interview with Founders Associate, right hand to CEO (30 minutes)
